Automatic weapons are nearly impossible for a civlian to get. An AK-74 is a semi-auto and in most cases so-called assault weapons fire a cartridge that is less powerful than a typical hunting rifle.

You're correct about the ammo, but all it takes is a pin mod to make most guns like the AR-15 and AK fully auto.

An "assault rifle" is a great tool for home defence. The only difference between a "hunting rifle" and an "assault rifle" is a pistol grip.

I don't know where you get your info from. It takes an auto bolt and sear + triger and more work for an AK. It take more than a firing pin on an AR platform as well. Most of these parts are hard to come by and not worth the hassle (prison)

You can make an AK fire "ghetto full auto" easily but it will eventually fire out of battery and you are more than likely only going to hurt/kill yourself (plus spend some time in Prison)

Easy "fix" to go "full auto" - Just bump fire the damn thing, lol. It's not very practical but at least its fun lol.

Wrong, whole different trigger mechanism, at least on an AR-15 vs. an M-16. You look inside an M-16 and then an AR-15 and you wonder where all the extra parts went on the AR-15 haha
