Seems like quite a few of the 1g fwd guys that are tin canning their cars are getting them down to the 2,000-2,100 lb mark without too much of a problem or cutting sheet metal out.
I think Joe Bucci's Project GoodWill weighs ~ 2,000 and he ran 140mph on a 16g.
